Performance and Durability

All Woodhouse Perimeter mouldings are manufactured from solid timber that has been finger-jointed to achieve a maximum product length of 5.4.  Ideal for trade applications and the Diyer, some technical information on the product is outlined below and may be of interest.

Technical Information

Species: Woodhouse Perimeter is manufactured from a plantation conifer called Cunninghamia Lanceolata, a member of the Cypress family.

Source: grown and harvested from well managed, plantation forests.

Characteristics: solid timber, finger jointed moulding that is easy to work, nail, cut, screw and drill.

Wood Fibre: pale yellow almost white in colour.

Moisture Content: kiln dried to a moisture content of 12 – 15% (EMC).

Performance: natural durability with resistance to fungal and termite attack.*

Pre-Coating: a combination of adhesive, paint and water forms a durable coating that is readily painted with quality topcoats.

Product Application: use in all internal moulding applications including kitchens and wet areas.

Length Availability: 2.4m, 3.0m and 5.4m.

* All Woodhouse Perimeter™ Gesso Pre-Coated Mouldings are manufactured from a species of conifer that is a member of the cypress family (Cupressaceae). The physical properties of this species suggest a natural resistance against termite attack and fungal decay. The presence of these physical properties should not substitute or replace the requirement of an approved termite prevention system as outlined by the Building Code of Australia and any local authority. The Woodhouse Timber Company do not warranty the physical properties or performance of the Perimeter range of mouldings, or guarantee performance with regard to termite and/or fungal attack. Woodhouse Perimeter is NOT recommended for use in areas where there is the presence of Masto Termes Darwiniensis termites i.e. North of the Tropic of Capricorn.
